she told me that i could do it

but i didn't believe her then

because what was i

but a lowly prince

worse than a peasant

but expected to be a king

than everyone thought i was

worth less than a prince

worth less than a peasant

worth less than a measly coin

but still

she looked me sternly

in the eyes

and said,
